I was saddened to hear of Petra’s passing. She was a very thoughtful and generous person. She and her husband welcomed me to Honolulu years ago to enjoy one of the best vacations I have ever had. I stayed with them for sixteen wonderful days and Petra and Leroy made sure each day was a great adventure. On my birthday that year, Petra made sure that it was celebrated with all of the tradition (cake and ice cream, etc.) and I have never forgotten how they made me feel like family. I also went to visit them in Vallejo, California for an unforgettable vacation. Again, Petra and Leroy made sure that I enjoyed every single day while visiting them. I have the fondest memories of the time I spent as a guest in their home. I can testify that I was welcomed and treated with uncommon hospitality. May Petra and her caring heart rest in perfect peace.
Cherish all of your wonderful memories of Petra. May your memories bring you solace.

I met Petra in the early 80s, she was a friend to my cousin Carrie Mae Coleman. She was a friendly person, somewhat quiet. Fun to hang out with. Please accept my deepest condolences. Know that No More Pain, Just Peace.
