  1. Mother Annie Lee Wise Driver, for so many in the Read St. & throughout the Elmwood Ave. communities, was the voice of reason & authority for the people of God.
For when she spoke. so often on WOIC radio, Morning Gospel Hour, she spoke with a fervent &
believing spirit that caught the listening ear, from adults to little children.
She was indeed an “anointed voice” from God the Father to all of us.
She is now resting in the Joy of Jesus after more than a century of toiling on this earthly sojourn! To God be the Glory!

  22. Read Street was my fist home away from home. Ms. Annie Lee helped my mom out tremendously when I was a kid. She walked me home from school, fed me, and cared for me. I met my forever sisters there, Porscha, Tondalaya and Tosha. I will never forget her, forever in my heart. I love you Ms. Annie Lee. May you find rest and peace on your new journey…. To this day, I still eat warm toasted peanut butter sandwiches cut just the way she sliced them over 35 years ago.
