Ms. Benetria Isis Nicole Wallace, lovingly known to family and friends as Shug, was born January 26, 1990, in Miami, Florida. She was the daughter of Benjamin Wallace and Latara Thompson. She passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 4, 2021, at the age of 31. She attended Phoebus High School, in Hampton, VA. After graduating, Shug gave birth to a beautiful baby girl named Barbara. Benetria enjoyed being a Mommie and was very creative. She loved painting, doing hair, and especially cooking for her family. Ms. Benetria Isis Nicole Wallace is survived by: 4 children, Barbara Cabrera 12, Douglas Jackson, Jr., 3, Dominic Jackson, 2, and David Jackson, 1; mother, Latara Thompson; father, Benjamin Wallace; grandmother, Sherri Dancey; her great-grandmother, Nevonne Nickerson three siblings, Sherri Thompson, Montel Thompson, and Shawn Gibson; a host of uncles, aunts, and cousins. Shug went home to be with the Lord and her one and only Big Momma, her Great-Granddaddy Joe Lemon, and Grandfather, Edwin Thompson.

  4. My day started off so exciting, Now getting this type of news is disappointing. I am sadden but also appreciate the time God gave us together. I pray the Strength, Peace, and Understanding of every and everyone who was touched by her loving, caring and sweet with such an infectious smile she very often displayed.   8. My deepest condolences to the family. I was Ms. Wallace supervisor at the GLEAMNS Head Start program. Benetria, Barbara and I became so close. She was a family oriented young lady that loved people. I will truly miss her smile, giggles and encouraging words. Praying for the family during this transition. 🙏🏽
