Ms McDonald
Besides Dr Rivers, Ms McDonald is the main reason I continued to sub at Heyward. She was tough be really a softie. I’ll forever cherish sitting and talking trash with the Ole crew in the cafeteria. She’d always slip me seconds.
To the family of my colleague, Ms. Debbie,
My heartfelt prayers to each of you. I will forever cherish the awesome memory when we traveled to The Macy’s Parade to see Benedict Colleges Band participate. We had a fabulous time! Rest on my friend.
My prayers and condolences for the McDonald family. Ms. Debbie was such a ray of sunshine, so nice and welcoming whenever I was with my mother at Heyward Career and Technology Center. Your smile was truly infectious. Praying that the family continues to hold to God’s hand as He gives you strength and comfort during this difficult time.
Ms. Debbie McDonald was such a jewel who loved the students, staff and other stakeholders at Heyward Career and Technology Center. She was always willing to volunteer around the school, and her caring personality made visitors feel welcomed. I served as her principal for many years, and she was near and dear to my heart. She will definitely be missed. My prayers are with Donisha, her family and the entire Heyward family. Rest in peace my dear friend 💜

Family: With heart felt condolences, I’m so sorry for your loss. I met Debbie when we were in college. As we moved forward, I lost contact with her and one day I was over at Heyward Career Center. I was so happy to see her. We only talked for a little while about family and life. She talked about her daughter and how far we all have come. When I read that she had passed, I was sad because we both work for Richland District One. I will miss Debbie. She was a joy to be around.
Mrs. Debbie,
Our family has been truly being an amazing blessing to our family. We know that we will see her again in heaven. We are so very grateful for the time that we got to spend with her. She is walking with our Lord and Savior. She lit up a room and reflected the Love of Christ. She will be truly missed. We love you from Jason, Amy, Grayson, Elias, and Mathias Sabol.

Sending my condolences to miss Debbie’s family. She was such a beautiful kind lady, who I started calling Mom! I was so fortunate to meet her and hear her voice a lot of evenings when me and Donisha became real close friends! She could feel bad and if you were feeling bad at the same time she would always worry about you. She loved her Sports and her favorite TV shows, but more than that she loved her family and friends! I’m going to miss her and her cheerful personality! My prayers will forever continue for the family! She will always be here in our hearts!
Ms Debbie had a smile and a presence that uplifted those who were fortunate enough to interact with her. She will be missed by many and it’s a fact that we are all better for having known her. Lots of love.
Like so many Ms. Debbie you were a ray of sunshine. You’ve left a lasting impression on me. I’ll never forget your kind words and the many ways you made me feel seen. Rest well you sweet soul ❤️
I will be thinking and praying for the family during this difficult time. Ms. McDonald was such a warm and welcoming person. I worked with her at Heyward Career and Technology Center and many mornings was greeted by her morning hello and smiling face. I wish the family strength and comfort as you reflect on Ms. McDonald’s life and I hope you are flooded with many loving memories.
I met Debbie years ago at our first ISS meeting. After that first meeting we would have lunch together during our trainings. She was a joy to be around. I will miss your smile, laughter and advice. My sincere blessings to your family.
Sending our deepest condolences and prayers to the family, relatives and friends.

My Condolences to the family during this time of bereavement. I remember her always taken good care of me during my time working at Heyward Career Center. I remembered one of my long term assignment was her. I will remember her smile and always willing to help. Farewell my friend.
‘Blessed are they that mourn, they shall be comforted.’ (Matt 5:4).
No one had a laughter as infectious as Debbie!
I remember when Debbie came to live with our family; what great times. Rest well sweet soul, rest well.
I tell people the story of how Ms. Debbie was one of my biggest cheerleaders when she’d see me working late in my office finishing my dissertation. She had such a beautiful spirit and her support meant so much. We even kept in touch after I left USC for a new job in another state. My heart goes out to her family. She will be deeply missed
Ms. McDonald brought such a delightful a demanding atmosphere to Heyward Career Center’s code of conduct. Her role as ISS supervisor, cafeteria manager, and the many other hats she wore at Heyward, doesn’t give justice to the warm-hearted kind, and generous person Ms. McDonald really was. The family, friends, and district has lost a remarkable jewel in Ms. McDonalds’s departure.
God Bless You and your whole family Ms. McDonald. Sending prayers and strength. LR Family.
I knew ms. McDonald st Heyward. She was always kind and friendly. Always willing to help. She recently told me she was getting ready to retire. It was a shock to hear of her passing. My deepest condolences to her daughter and the rest of her family. She will truly be missed.
Debbie,
I still cannot believe it. I am still in total shock. We just talked on Mother’s Day and had a long conversation and we also discussed about us getting together soon. Debbie, this so hard for me. I think about the days at Webster University when were both going for our Masters, we took all of our classes together, we studied together and we pushed through to achieve our goal of obtaining a Master Degree. I am really going to miss you so much!! I spoke with your daughter yesterday and like I told her your family has my deepest sympathy.
Wow I can’t believe my friend is gone we would talk every time we saw each other when you would come in for your shift you will be miss very much my condolences for your family they are in my prayers
My deepest condolences goes out to Ms. Debbie’s family. I pray for your families comfort and strength during this difficult time. Ms. Debbie’s smile could brightened any room that she entered. Every encounter with Ms. Debbie was heartfelt and warm. She will truly be missed
MS. Debbie will definitely be missed by many! She always had a smile & told you exactly how she felt. She had so many accomplishments to even list. But I think alot of us will surely miss that cooking. You have your wings now Ms. Debbie. And you’re already walking those streets of gold. Lots of us already miss you. And I’m sure you know how much you were loved. Sleep with the angels.
Ms. McDonald was one of the first to welcome me to Heyward Career and Technology Center, you made sure my daughter was safe as I dropped her during the day. Love your passion for education and the love for the students, get your rest Ms. McDonald 🙏🏽

Rest in Paradise lady.
Ms. Debbie was always a bright light at USC. She always had a smile on her face and made me feel at home. I have been known to stay late at the office working on projects and she would always tease me about leaving early if I was out by 5:00, which always brought a smile to my face. I feel so lucky to have known her and will miss her dearly. My thoughts and prayers are with her family at this time.
Where do I start Debbie 🙏🏾Thank u for giving me my Godaugther ❤️ I will always be here for her 🙏🏾

Job Well done
Ms. Debbie was such a sweet person, and I very much enjoyed her common sense advice and good humor when I saw her during my late afternoons and early evenings at USC. She went out of her way to introduce herself when I first started at USC, and always reminded me to “pack up and go home to my family” during those late working days. I will miss her so much, and wish many blessings onto her family during this difficult time.
Ms Debbie was one of the sweetest people I have ever known, always smiling, always had a kind word.
My deepest sympathy goes to all who loved here
I did not know Ms. Debbie that long, but she was such a welcoming and pleasant spirit. She was one of the first people to introduce herself when I moved into the Health Center and always asked if I needed anything. I’m going to miss seeing her around.
Sending my prayers and my deepest condolences to Ms. Debbie’s family. Ms. Debbie impacted everyone she encountered, with her wisdom and kindness shining through each time you saw her. I will forever cherish the memories of our conversations and laughter which we shared at USC. Though her presence will be missed tremendously, her spirit will live on in our hearts of those she touched forever. Praying for strength and Gods peace as we all navigate through this loss.
Ms. McDonald…our hearts and prayers are with your family now. You were a unique jewel that always made us smile. You were such a joy – and you were so loved.

Ms. Debbie, I’ve known you a short time at USC but you ensured to keep me informed on everything you felt I needed to know to be successful. I am going to miss our afternoon sit downs in my office, chit chatting. Rest Easy, you are missed tremendously.
Ms. Debbie was such a sweet soul. We shared so many laughs during the late evenings at USC, and she was so uplifting. I will definitely miss our talks and the way you could not leave her presence without a smile or laugh. Heaven has a beautiful new angel who will be greatly missed by so many!
