Mrs. Gloria Corlonn Cauthen Gomillion was born on July 15, 1942, in Clinton, NC. She passed away peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, November 30, 2021, at Pruitt Health Nursing Facility, at the age of 79.

 

Gloria married her handsome husband, Donald Gomillion, on December 23, 1960. Unfortunately, on August 13, 2015, Gloria’s husband passed away from a long battle with lung cancer.

 

Gloria lived a great and wonderful life, as she was able to fulfill her lifelong dream of becoming a teacher. Gloria taught for over 30 plus years, and she loved every minute of it. Gloria not only taught children but she made a lifelong impact on their lives and the lives of their families through her passion and love for teaching.

 

Mrs. Gloria Corlonn Cauthen Gomillion leaves to her passing survive: two children, Christie V. Roberts and Cornelius V. Gomillion; eight grandchildren, Jerome L. Matos, Cornisha V. Powell, Ashlee Gomillion-Smith, Leslee Jennings, Jeyna D. Roberts, Doneil Gomillion, Corneshia S. Gomillion and Cornelius Gomillion, Jr.; 19 great-grandchildren and many other loving relatives and friends.  She will be missed but never forgotten.

  6. My heart is heavy for the loss of Mrs. Gomillion . I will miss her sweet smile and her laughter.
    I 💕her like she was my mother. We often prayed and sung gospel songs. A gentle and sweet little woman with heart. I am so sorry for your loss.
