  3. Words cannot describe my feelings and thoughts at this time, but Gloria “Bird” Gardner is a true friend!! Although there was that distance in our geographical locations, when we talked it was like we were just a couple of blocks apart! We would walk down memory lane, specifically back to 1965, which was a memorable year for her.🤷🏽‍♀️ Then, we would wind right back up where we left off many years ago when she relocated to South Carolina. We talked at least two to three times a month, never missing a beat! I will miss her, but I know we will see each other again!! PARTNER, take your rest because you have performed your last concert on this side!!❤️🙏🏽

  5. I met Gloria way back in the late 70’s while working at Richland Memorial Hospital as a transporter for the Transportation Dept. During this time, I got too witness Gloria in her ‘Prime’. We became best of friends, on and off the clock. When I received the news of her passing, my mind took me back during Gloria glorious days. How could I not remember the days when she would bring me smoke sausage w/cheese sandwiches, wrapped in aluminum foil. And you must have lost your ever-lasting mind saying anything negative about her Doctor, that’s Dr. J, her favorite basketball player. I could not proceed without mentioning the P-funk club that she created while on the job. This is how it went, on certain days, it you didn’t bring/wear your sunglasses, you would put money in the kitty- too make long story short, when the time came for us to get paid, we didn’t see the money or Gloria. With that being said, I will miss my friend dearly. May God be with your family during this difficult time

  13. My deepest sympathy goes out to you and your family as you struggle through grief and sadness. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.

“Who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. For as we share abundantly in Christ’s sufferings, so through Christ we share abundantly in comfort too. If we are afflicted, it is for your comfort and salvation; and if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which you experience when you patiently endure the same sufferings that we suffer.” 2 Corinthians 1:4-6
