I was saddened to hear about the death of Linda. We were secretaries together at the Commission on Aging. I saw her a while back while she was working at Heyward Career Center, I was just thinking about how I could get in touch with her a couple of months ago. It was a shock to find out she had passed as I scrolled through the obituary section and saddened to know that she was already buried when I found out. I send my prayers to her husband, children and other family members.
To the Butler, Nixon, and Blocker families, our thoughts and prayers are with you during this very difficult time in the loss of your Mom, Sister, and our cousin. We hold you in our hearts, since we were not able to be there to hold you in our arms for comfort.
Love Always,
[Rev James] Donald and Zina Knight

Mrs. Butler was one of kind, loving and always keeping everyone laughing. We served on Columbia High School’s Booster together; as well as our son’s were College roommates’. I recently visited Linda; I am so glad I followed my mind to stop by; although it had been years we picked up with the laughs like it was yesterday. Praying for the family.

In loving memory of Aunt Linda, a person whose kindness and generous spirit touched the lives of everyone who knew her. She will be missed, especial her cakes. But always remember even when we cannot see the sun, it is still there, shining down from the sky and spreading its warmth so that we may one day bask in it again. During this difficult time, may faith, family and friends bring you peace.
