  1. Deacon Hawkins, Rochelle and family. I never liked cliches, but Heaven has indeed claimed one of the Lord’s jewels! I will always remember her in service in the Lord’s house – USHERING! She did it always with a smile and handling the Youth who ushered, my my my! I thank God for her care with my children, Bryan, Steven (who loves ushering Deacon Hawkins because of you) and Stephanie. My prayers are with you all; God has His hand on you. Love, The Winslow Family

  2. Our prayers go out to the Hawkins family. We pray that God will continue to strengthen you and your family. Know that Mother Hawkins was a lovely, sweet, and great Mother to a lot of young women in the church that knew her. We will continue to pray for your strength in the Lord. Mother Hawkins did not pick and choose; she loved us all. I will miss seeing her face whenever I come to RLM for visits.

  4. Second Entry;

    It is with heartfelt sympathy and prayers to Deacon Hawkins and family that I send my condolences. Rosa was a saintly woman of God who wore a garment of praise as a virtuous lady highly respected and loved by all. Several years ago, we worked in the World Trade Center in NY before the towers felled. We would meet at noon for prayer. Whenever she returned to NY for a visit at The Historic First Church, we always fellowshipped. She will be sorely missed, “Earth has no sorrows that heaven cannot heal”.

  5. I will always treasure the fond memories of Sister/Mother Rosa Hawkins, who was truly one of God’s rare jewels. She was a
    woman of prayer. A woman of integrity. A woman who loved God and God’s people. A woman who could melt the hardest of hearts with just a smile and kind words. I know without a shadow of doubt she is in a better place, because she’s home with the Lord. But, that will not stop our hearts from missing her.

    Thank you and know that I will continue to remember the Hawkins family in my prayers.
