Pastor Naomi Robinson Frazier Brown was born August 26, 1946, in Elloree, South Carolina. She was the daughter of the late Rosa Lee Robinson and the late William Washington. Naomi departed this life Monday, May 17, 2021. Naomi was educated in the public schools of Orangeburg, South Carolina. She graduated from Wilkinson High School, Class of 1964. Soon afterwards, she moved to New York City, NY, where she started her career. After many years, she returned to SC, and attended Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College, and received a degree in Office Administration. Naomi, being such an ambitious person and always se eking ways to grow, obtained a job at Greenwood Mills. For advancement in her career, she moved on to Carolina Share of Columbia, SC, as a Group Supervising Coordinator. She enjoyed fishing and playing scrabble with her late sister, Lois Hughes. Naomi Brown was baptized at an early age, and became a member of St. Paul Baptist Church, of Orangeburg, SC. She later joined the Praise of his Glory Church, in Huntersville, NC, under the leadership of Barry Taylor. Naomi was always a visionary with a sparkling desire of entrepreneurship. The Lord gave her a vision to open and operate a Christian Dry Cleaner in Orangeburg, South Carolina. It wasn’t long before God placed a higher calling on her life, she was called to pastor and answered it with a burning desire to serve and do the will of the Lord. Naomi and her late husband, Levesta Brown, started a church in Orangeburg, SC, under the auspices of Christ Central Ministries, of Charlotte, NC, where it grew quickly beyond the state lines. The ministry also served youth and families with activities and resources for rehabilitation. Christ Central Ministries reached beyond the walls to people who were alone in their space and taught them to fast, pray, and persevere until you grow in Christ. Naomi Brown spent the vast majority of her life doing what she loved, empowering people, and leading them to Christ. Naomi was preceded in death by: her husband, Levesta Brown; mother, Rosa Lee Robinson; father, William Washington; sisters, Pastor Louise “Lois” Hughes, Anette Shuler, Rudine Shuler, and Catherine Shuler; one brother, William Washington, Jr. Pastor Naomi Robinson Frazier Brown leaves to mourn her passing: three daughters, Trena Frazier, of Lithonia, GA, E’van Frazier, of Conyers, GA, and Joy L.
