  2. My sincerest condolences to the Gilmore family and all those who had the benefit to know your son, Jessie Gilmore. He reminded the men of WMIP that your word tells us to seek the Kingdom FIRST, and it’s apparent that he truly practiced what he preached! We appreciate the love of God that he was able to show to those whom he’s touched. May he rest in glory with the the Father! Amen

  3. My condolences to the Gilmore family. It was truly a blessing & a pleasure to have spent time with Mr. Gilmore. I would always look forward to seeing him every week because I knew he had a “jewel” Precious valuable words of wisdom to drop on me. He always encouraged me to know God 4 myself. We would laugh about music all the time because I would go back and sing songs from the hymn books. He would be so surprised, and would out of nowhere just start singing whatever came to his heart. We all @ NMD miss him very dearly. I will end on this quote he would always say to me. ” All you have to do is live a little longer & you will see what I’m talking about”
He was referring to seeing Gods grace and mercy work for you.

    Be easy old timer…

  5. I’m sorry for your loss but it’s like an loss for me also, I remember when I was about 7 years old and he had cooked an alligator turtle that we have caught and it smelled so good and I was so hungry but I couldn’t eat it lol. Also the favorite slogan ( if you wanna go , but can’t go, call Gilmore). I’m glad that I got the chance to see him again before he left this world behind, thanks Jessie for bringing him by Sam’s to see us, and call me if you need me. And last but not least, I know he will still be using his great CB radio handle “ spark plug “. I remember a lot to be so young but very grateful to have met him working with my dad and brother, John Cannon. Rip and now you can see my dad and yall can look down on us and smile.

  7. My condolences to the Gilmore family. Rev. Gilmore may have been small in stature, but he had giant-sized faith. I will miss him on the WMIP(Winning Men In Prayer) calls. His prayers, songs, words of encouragement, and poems were all sources of inspiration. I loved his Gilmoreisms like ‘Go to the schoolhouse and sit on steps until the teacher comes’ or ‘ If that ain’t true there ain’t a dog in Texas’.
Now he is with God in heaven. We can all honor his memory by doing what he encouraged us to do: Seek ye first the Kingdom(Matthew 6:33). Rest well great man of God. Job well done.
