  6. Heaven has surely gained an angel. I wished you could have stayed on this side longer, but I know God had a plan for you. You have always carried yourself in a manner which was to be respected. God was the center of everything that you did. You were a true friend and classmate. Your gentle soul and reverent spirit permeated into everything that you did. You always gave 100% PLUS in everything that you were involved.

You never changed from our days at McCrorey-Liston. You were a true friend, classmate, teacher, nurturer, leader, child of God, and a comforter. You always put others before yourself. You kept a positive outlook on things. You were not a stranger to anyone. You made everyone feel comfortable, no matter what the circumstance.

I am going to miss your beautiful singing voice, our long conversations, our walks down memory lane, our plans for the class and other projects. Thank you for making yourself available when we needed you. You are the epitome of a true friend and classmate.

We have lost you on this side, but I can see God welcoming you into heaven with open arms. The Battle is No Longer Yours, It’s the Lord’s.

We love you and we will see you on the other side.

  11. To be absent from the body is to be present w/ the Lord. Our dear brother, Spencer has earned his wings. One more angel to watch over us.

I met Spencer in 1986, when we served in the U. S. Navy as Radioman @ Rough & Ready Island in Stockton Ca. We became fast friends bcuz we were from S. Carolina & had a lot of commonalities.

I had just lost my 27 yr old brother, Spencer comforted me through the Word of God even praying w/ me. His gentle & sweet spirit made him & endearing friend.

He was one of the most selfless people I’ve ever encountered. He was so loving & giving. If he befriended you, it was for life…he could always find me thru my parents. He even sent a beautiful friendship card to mom to fwd to me when I was deployed…that’s the kind of friend I remember.

We recently reconnected last yr & he told me that he was blessed bcuz his dear son was helping to care for him. He truly loved his family.

Family, I’m so grateful that you shared dear Spencer w/ us. May the peace & grace of God be w/ you.

I had the privilege of knowing him through his work and military association with my late husband, his work (site)visits to my job and as a church member/friend. 25. Hi Justin, sending my sincere condolences to you and your family. I loved your father because he was a caring, God-fearing man and friend. He Blessed my sole when I looked up and saw him at my sister-in-law’s funeral in NC and again at my son-in-law’s funeral in NC. I didn’t expect to see anyone travel for either funeral, but Spencer did that for us. He was that kind of man. I will forever love and remember him for that. He always had a humble personality and was just one of a kind. He will be missed. I pray that God will continue to give you peace, comfort and strength during the transition in your lives. I hope you all find joy in the memories shared with your father. TGBATG! BLESSINGS 🙌🙌🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

  29. Clara and family, with a saddened heart, I leave this message. Although words cannot express the sorrow in my heart; but words are our way of communication, so, I will do my best. Just know that you are loved; I, myself as many others, am here for you. Grieving is a process, and while in the process, I ask God to dispatch angels to comfort and keep you, and help you heal. Lastly, I love you cousin!
