Yellow Rose
Traditions Held Strong
In 1995, when I. S. Leevy Johnson became sole owner of his family’s funeral home, he reminded the community that Leevy’s had “New Ownership but Old Friends.” He signed every letter and ended every radio program with “Your Friends at Leevy’s.” Whereas the red rose means love, the white rose means peace, the YELLOW ROSE means FRIENDSHIP. And for that reason the Yellow Rose is the symbol of the Leevy’s Funeral Home. When his son, Chris, returned from college and created a staff uniform, he incorporated the yellow rose in all outfits. We at Leevy’s, have been friends to the community in the classroom, in the courtroom, and in the boardrooms. In your hour of need call your FRIENDS at Leevy’s.
