  1. Lt. Stewart,
It is heartbreaking to see you taken away from us so soon. I always remember you having a cheery demeanor and smile on your face as we all struggled through pt down in the Atlanta Consortium or during Bulldog pt. You are at rest now, sis, and thank you for your service to this country.

  6. Justice was one of my best friends and an inspiration to me. I wouldn’t have made it through OCS or TBS without her. Her spirit of determination was infectious to everyone she was around, and she made a habit of proving her naysayers wrong. Not to mention she had some of the best poetry I’ve ever heard. I pray that God comforts you through your loss, and that her legacy lives on through our lives.

  15. Justice, (a child prodigy, no doubt) the name so very apropos for my beloved neice! One of the most profound verses in the Holy Bible poses question and answer: What does the Lord require of me? the prophet asked. The answer: To do JUSTLY, to love MERCY, and to walk HUMBLY with God! Malichi said God showed him what is good in the answer provided. My neice walked in these requirements God gave her the formula to what is good snd she delivered! May her life be for a blessing! God bless the Moreland, Savage,Stewart and Jones village and entire tribe of God-Fearing prayer warriors! Don’t stop now!!! Aunt Loretta (Jochebed) Moreland

  20. I have never met Justice personally, however, she made a tremendous impression on Quinton’s father (Victor) my friend for more than (30) years. Our conversation, was one of tremendous respect and admiration for Justice. When Victor informed me of what had happened to this beautiful young lady I was deeply saddened. Then I told my friend, that I stand on Philippians 4:13, and I also suggested that he stay close to Quinton. Love and support for Quinton and strength for what he was about to go through. Justice’s beaming smile says so very much about her, she will be forever talked about in the days to come, rest assured the God we serve will provide in this time of need, Vic and Quinton trust and believe in him. My prayers are with you and her family.

Why that was taken from this world so soon I will never understand. Let this be known…your voice and spirit will never be forgotten. Prayers to your friends and family.

  24. Sending prayers and love to the family of Justice Stewart. I first met this amazing young woman as a high schooler, and it was apparent she was blessed and gifted in so many ways. She knew much is expected of those to whom much is given. She lived that life of generosity to others while diligently preparing for college and beyond, no easy thing with so many possibilities. I especially remember her faith and perseverance through challenges. Her choice to serve her country was no surprise. She has touched so many and her influence in her young life has been powerful. May God grant comfort and peace to Justice’s family and all those who love her.

  30. I am sending my most sincere heartfelt compassion to the family of 1LT Justice Stewart. I had the pleasure of knowing Justice as one of the Assistant Professors at NROTC Morehouse on staff during her senior year, and we bonded over both being natives of Columbia, SC. Ironically, though I was the one on assignment as an instructor, I am certain Justice taught me much more than I could have ever taught her. Through her actions, Justice taught me what it meant to preserve with both grit and grace. Through her demeanor, she taught me what it meant to be poised, poetic, and professional all in one. Through her art and writings, she taught me how to hold on to my passion, to seize the present moment, and to fearlessly leave my legacy. Thank you for teaching me these lessons that I will always hold dear. Journey on, Baby Girl. We have the watch.

Justice baby you are the light that is going to shine forever, I appreciate everything you have taught me from being a big sister to helping me with my attitude, becoming a respectful woman, always keeping myself up to date, and mentally never giving up. You never let me quit whether it was with work in school or drill team competitions, you always use to wipe my tears after competition when the drill sergeants were finished yelling at us lol and always told me not to let them see me cry. You are my sister forever and I appreciate everything you did and continue to do for me as my guardian angel. Rest on my angel đź‘Ľ!

Because we share the same last name, we often found ourselves together in lines and in assigned seating. In these moments, we enjoyed a great deal of laughter and brief conversations. The last time I saw Justice would’ve been at our high school graduation. My heart is warmed thinking about sharing this important milestone with her. When I think of Justice, I think of her beautiful smile, kindness, and ability to light up a room. To Justice & her family, thank you for your service in the United States military. I can only imagine how far and wide she impacted people in her community, work, friendships and family. She will be dearly missed. Rest in peace, Justice.
