  22. To LTC Johnson’s family and to all who knew and loved him. Many years have passed since I served with Howard in the 3270th USAR Hospital. In spite of the time that has passed, Howard leaves an indelible image in my memory. He was always calm, dedicated, caring, and efficient. He was also a morally wonderful human being. He had a smile, and good advice (if needed) for everyone. I send my heartfelt sympathy to all who bear the pain of his loss. May you gain strength from the wonderful memories he left us.
