  16. Sending love and light to the Newman family. I attended Spring Valley High with Brian and have fond memories of him during that time. In speaking with others who knew him from our high school days, there was always a shared sense of pride in watching one of our own “make it”. He left an imprint on not only our city, but our hearts as well and he will be missed.

Thank you Brian for your service to our city and fly high!

BJ and I send our deepest sympathies and condolences in the loss of Brian. Brian and our daughter Kathryn began school together in the first grade and we were able to see the kind, considerate and polite young man that characterized Brian throughout his life. BJ often said that Brian was the nicest and most polite young man at all times. Later, I had the opportunity to observe Brian in his professional career, and he was thoughtful, intelligent, professional, and strategic in his thinking and actions. Throughout, he was always kind and considerate of others. Please know that we wish for you during this time of loss that you will be comforted by God’s Grace and the certain knowledge that Brian is now in Heaven with the angels.
