Thank you everyone for the condolences and sympathy for my family and friends affected by the sudden death of our beloved Cyrus Monroe.

Truly, Cyrus was the heart of the 8th grade R.E. class. He had a playful soul, a childlike curiosity for life, and brought joy to all who knew him. It is often hard to find words for such tragedy and so I will reference the greatest book ever written: “You will weep and mourn while the world rejoices. You will grieve but your grief will turn to joy […] Now is the time of grief but I will see you again and you will rejoice, and none will take away your joy” (John 16:20-22). Cyrus lives on in our hearts and memories, his impact as a student will stay with us always, and we will remember forever the laughter he gifted us on Wednesday evenings. Your family are in our hearts and prayers.

No one can say they understand what you are going through because everyone experience is different when losing someone! We can only tell you about our experience. I remember when my mom got that call when someone killed my brother, she was sooo hurt and went into a dark place and never bounced back. I’m praying that won’t be your story! I know it hurts, but allow God to comfort you and give you the strength to endure. The word says he won’t put more on you than you can bare. He also said that he will never leave you nor forsake you!
