  1. To our family: we love you and pray God gives you his perfect peace during this time. My mother Rosalyn (Rose) was so happy when JC met Rachel. We all could see how happy they were together. Mama kept their picture on her living room wall. She was so proud. We love you Rachel, Robert and Trish and family. Love you cousin JC. Will truly miss you.

  7. Papa,
I remember the day you started dating Mama! You were sitting on the couch when I walked in, smiling all big! I immediately called you Papa and it never changed. Shortly after, you nicknamed me “Bodyguard” because I always look out for and take care of everybody. You took care of me and helped spoil me! Then when you decided to make it official, and changed her last name, no one was more excited and happy than me (well maybe her). You took such amazing care of her and I am so thankful that God saw fit to bless her life with someone who truly loved and care about her as she deserved. Many are not so blessed.
15 years just does not seem like enough time, but I know God knows what he’s doing! No more pain and appointments and medicines.

Just because you’re gone now does not mean my “Bodyguard” duties are over. I promise not to get on her nerves too much. I will still call every day. She may fuss a little bit, but she knows how I do! I miss you so much already Papa, but I know you loved me and I loved you! You get your rest now! Your soul is at rest! You fought a good fight!

    Always,
    Bodyguard (Kelly)

  11. Pop pop, I can not even begin to tell you how happy you made my mother. I was so glad we were able to talk before you were called home. I love you beyond words and you will be missed. Not only did you put a smile on my mothers face, but as your children, you put a huge smile on ours as well. From the first time I met you and when we finally gave my mother away to you on your wedding day, I knew you were perfect for her and us. Thank you pop pop for so many great memories and all the support you gave us. We hate that you are gone, but we know you are breathing well and eating good. We love you and we will miss you. Rest easy pop pop. I will see you soon, but not yet!

  14. To my beloved uncle JC. Words can not express my sorrow. You were my hero. Thank you for raising me, supporting me when I was in the grips of evil and encouragement to go and become a functional member of society. I will live my life in order to make you proud. I love you forever Uncle JC
