  8. My prayers and condolences go out to James Scott’s family. He was a very kind and generous man. My memories of James go way back. He made sure I made to choir practice every week at Pleasant Grove. I worked with his brother at Providence Hospital. He made sure I was around my Scott and Lloyd family growing up. I would see him from time to time when I moved back to Columbia and he always greated me with a smile and a hug. Rest in heaven.

  9. Great person. Always there for everyone, not just family and friends. When I think of James, he feels like a big brother to me, not just a cousin. James lived the life of a good Christian. RIP.
Wishing the family God speed- Kathy, NYC cousin

  13. I am saddened to hear of James Scott’s passing. He was a leader, a mentor, and a good friend to everyone. He was a skilled Columbia City Bus Driver for SCE&G. His dedication as our Union president and a bus trainer inspired everyone around him. James’ kindness will be remembered. My thoughts are with the family during this difficult time. Please accept my heartfelt condolences. ~~Steve Szala (bus driver)
