Oh, my dear friend, Javon…where do I even begin?
From the moment you walked into Ms. Langdon’s room and demanded a part in our Dreamgirls’ freshmen homecoming skit, you became an instant friend and a very special part of my high school experience. Through all the skits, laughs, dances, pass-it-around sessions, band competitions, food escapades, and school activities, my admiration and appreciation for your undeniable charm, wit, boldness and fearlessness grew. Javon, you were EVERYTHING and a bag of chips! You could pull a laugh out of me on even my worst days. I have so many fond memories of you, and that’s how I will always remember you – the life of the party! I had hoped we could’ve shared one last laugh or pass-it-around session, but we’ll have to wait until we’re reunited in that great Kingdom in the Sky. Words cannot begin to express how much you will be missed and how much you will always be loved. I will think of you every time I grab the clamper for more cookies at a buffet, order food from Taco Bell, dance or strut my stuff, and order breadsticks from Fazoli’s with that hot, thick, CRISPY butter lol. Although my heart is broken to learn of your passing, it finds solace in knowing that we shall meet again…and what a celebration that will be!
I extend my sincerest and deepest condolences to your family and friends. The world has truly lost a bright light which was so needed in these dark times. Until we meet again, old friend…
