  4. To Jamella, the Twins and to the entire Williams and Dean families:

I extend my sincerest sympathy and compassion to you on the passing of Jerome, my life-long friend!

Beginning as young boys on McDuffie Avenue and at First Calvary, to high school then Johnson C. Smith; and then as men with families, Jerome and I have always called each other friend.

I regret we didn’t often interact during these latter years, as we did during our former years!

May God pour out His Divine Grace, Mercy, Peace and Rest to you, not only now, but for the rest of your lives!

    Cherish the memories!!!

    Sincerely,
    Carlos Billy Smith
