  1. My deepest condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Richardson.  Can’t say that I knew him very well.  But when our paths crossed from time to time as we did our bidding for the Columbia Housing Authority, it was always a pleasure just to chop it up with him for a minute or two.

From the time we met I believed he was in God’s hands.  One of a chosen few whose faith aroused good will and good deeds in the people around him.

Now, as I read the honorable, heart-felt mentions of the people who knew and loved him — I know I was right.

Rest in Peace my friend!  For I know not when, but one day we will surely meet again.

  2. To the Richardson family, I give my deepest condolences. Mr Richardson was a kind spirit who I met years ago as he worked as a contractor for Columbia Housing Authority. He took his work seriously and never let us down. He was part of our family and attended our activities as if he was a dedicated employee. He will be truly missed. May God comfort u all during this time and in the days to come. RIP Mr Richardson.

  4. Sending our sincere condolences and prayers to the family of Deacon John Richardson. Dea. Richardson has been a family friend since I was a child. His contributions in building and painting at Cathedral Of Faith Ministries will never be forgotten. We will miss your presence, words of encouragement, laughter, and smile.

We regret not being able to personally share in your grief as Bishop Johnson is currently hospitalized in Atlanta, GA. God bless you and give you peace.

  5. Mr. Richardson worked with us in Northwood Hills for many years.
Although, he physically moved from the area, his heart remained with us. I will remember him for the jokes, dancing and always helping wherever he could. He was a joy to many.

  10. Richardson family, please accept my condolences for Mr. Richardson. I knew him when he lived in Northwood Hills. He was a loyal and dedicated neighbor. He was always willing to help with community projects. You only had to ask him, and he would do his best to complete the work he had been assigned. We missed him when he moved away but were happy to see him whenever he visited the neighborhood.
May God comfort you during this time of loss.

  17. To the Family of Deacon John Richardson:

As I reflect on my introduction to Deacon Richardson as a new member and moreover as a newly installed Deacon among our slate of officers, I have pleasant memories of a good man of God. You would have thought that he was “large and in charge” as we first exchanged pleasantries in the vestibule one Sunday morning , inspite of his small stature. Needless to say, we became fast friends as if we had known each other from another time & place.

I attributed his forward & friendly nature to the spirit of of God that he exuded. each time our paths crossed.
Of course, we had many conversations about his desire to vote at the proper time over in Lexington County. as I tried to ensure that he was registered there & able to vote.

His departure from this earthly domain will give him rest from labor as he abides eternally with his loving Savior and “vote as often as he desires to do so. ”

Rest well my friend and Deacon, as you will be mssed by all who knew & loved you!
