My deepest condolences, Leon was my supervisor at Eau Claire high school and a very good friend, he will truly be missed, praying for his family in this difficult time.
Shorty, you were quite an amazing person and have left such an impact on so many people lives especially your grand children and in your community. I know they will miss you as much as I will from sitting on your front porch. It’s so many wonderful things I can say about you, but it will take me several years to write it all. I love your peaceful spirit, how you were so smart about so many things, especially life itself. When you loved, you loved with all of your heart. I am so thankful we got to talk for over 3 hours last Wednesday night. Only God knew that would have been our last time , at least for now. You had so much wisdom, knowledge, and you definitely did not mind sharing it. Even when you created your own version of a story it would sound so real and true. I will always appreciate how you helped mom with the family when our father died at such a young age and even how you helped me with my college fund. You were and will always be a wonderful brother in my heart. May God continue to bless our family and comfort us. Your sister, that most people say we look like twins, Nellie.
