Mr. Malik Tyronne Gray was born August 8, 1999 in Dumas, AR. He was the loving son of Lakesha McCarrell and Corey Gray. On Friday, September 24, 2021, he had his transition to eternal life.

 

Malik was a 2017 graduate of Lower Richland High School, Hopkins, SC. He was a member of the football team for the two years he attended.

 

Malik enjoyed playing football and basketball, and was also an aspiring rapper. He spent countless hours in the recording studio perfecting his craft. He enjoyed shopping, making raps, and listening to different music. His smile would always light up any room. Malik was baptized in Jesus name in 2012.

 

Malik shared a beautiful daughter with his longtime girlfriend, Jayla Washington. They met in 2018 and have been joined at the hip since. They enjoyed simple things together like shopping, going out to eat, and just hanging out with friends.

 

Malik was preceded in death by: his maternal great-grandmother, Geneva McCarrell; his cousin, Neondric Langston.

 

Mr. Malik Tyronne Gray leaves to cherish his memory: his girlfriend, Jayla Washington; daughter, A’ryah Gray, of Columbia, SC; parents, Lakesha McCarrell and Corey Gray; grandmother, Jamie (Donald) Bell, of Arkansas; grandfather, Richard (Rose) McCarrell; grandmother, Geneva Jordan, Sioux, IA; grandparents, Samuel (Ellen) Gray, of Columbia, SC; beloved sisters,  Jayla Brown and Keondra Gray; aunts, NaQuisha Panuco and Donna Bell, Ammie Young, Margie Rouse, Callie Jordan, Serena Jordan, all of Arkanas, Jacqueline Belk,  and Shakelia King, both, Sioux City, IA and Chiquita Moore, of Columbia, SC; aunt, Juanita Gray; uncles, Tony Langston, Winston Jordan,  and Johnny Gill, all of Arkansas,  and Antonio Jordan, Sioux City, IA, Lonnie Jordan, of Kansas, Andrew Langston, of Minnesota,  and Ronnie Langston, of Minnesota,; a host of cousins, other relatives, and loving friends, all of whom will miss him dearly.
