A great musician from 7th grade on. I was privileged to spend 7th through 12th grade together with him at BTW. He was well known for his musical talents and as an entertainer. I also remember his buzzer-beating shot to win a basketball game against our arch-rival, C.A. Johnson.
He has left great marks. May his soul be borne by a flight of angels and abide in peace.

Mr. Otis Goodwin was the King of Entertainment for so many years in Columbia, SC and through-out the southern region of the US. He was the ultimate showman and goodness gracious could he sing!! Mr. Goodwin made us feel the music, not just hear it!! Rest in Power, dear Friend. Bless you for being an inspiration to many of us who called ourselves musicians. Sincere condolences to the Goodwin family.
