  25. Barbara was a beautiful soul. Her singing on a Sunday helped me when I didn’t even feel like going to church. And her hugs and kisses afterwards were always comforting. I always looked at her with elegance and regal and it’s easy to see. It’s never easy when God calls one of our family home. Just know we love you and will miss you.

  27. No matter how old we are, losing a mother is one of the deepest sorrows a heart can know. But her goodness, her caring, and her wisdom live on, like a legacy of love that will always be with you. With deepest sympathy,

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. You heard me say to you, ‘I am going away, and I will come to you.’ If you loved me, you would have rejoiced, because I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I. And now I have told you before it takes place, so that when it does take place you may believe.” John 14:27-29

  32. There are a few people who life provides us as unforgettable. Aunt Barbara is and will always be one of those people. A woman of both external and internal beauty who set a standard and prioritized family. My parents (Otis and Merdis) certainly shared amazing memories with their sister-in-law Barbara and Jerome! One of the first vocalists that I recall at Gill Creek who allowed God to use her Gift. Tonya may the memories keep and warm your heart forever. Rest in eternal
    Peace my dear aunt.

  40. So much I could say about Mrs Barbara but words could never surmount to the person she was. A champion, a kind heart, a stylish and sassy woman who loves kids and even when she was mad or disagreed she always made sure she told everyone she loved them. Growing up hearing her sing and how she loved the Lord always made my heart happy. Even when she was hoarse she would look and me and say “Viv, you know that’s too high for me to sing bring it in down.” There are so many memories we all share and she will be truly missed. Tonya, thanks for sharing your mom with us for many years as she was a true gem. Keeping the family in prayers.

  57. Barbara Harts Brown! The Fulwood Family has known you and your family since 1976! Gill Creek Baptist Church is where we share many fond memories of worshipping with you! Your loving spirit & powerful God given gift for singing will forever bless our hearts! Personally, we always knew you as a woman with a sense of humor & “keep it real” personality! May your daughter Tanya, family, & church forever live out your legacy of living, loving, & cherishing every moment with a smile and/or a joyous smirk! As I close this reflection of you….I am reminded of a song you led at Gill Creek over the years. “I know without a doubt God will work it out! Yes He can….yes he can….yes he can I know HE CAN!” The world is a better place because of YOU!🌎
