  15. Georgia was a true inspiration. She taught so many, myself included. Especially when Colonial was the best under the Averyts, sadly not the same after Unum took over. I know Georgia would agree. Rest in peace Georgia. We will hold close the sweetest memories. RIP🙏🏼

  20. My heart broke upon hearing the news of Georgia’s passing. We worked together for over 35 years. Always a ray of sunshine, taught me so much about the business processes, systems and so much more. We stayed in touch during her illness and she was incredibly strong and an inspiration. Her faith was amazing and she shared she knew she would be in God’s presence and she was at peace.

Miss her but will never forget her. I’m better because of our friendship.

  26. Words seem inadequate to describe Georgia. I had the privilege of working with Georgia for many years at Colonial. I was Blessed by her friendship. Georgia was an exceptional person with one of the purest hearts you could find. Her life exemplified her core values of excellence, kindness, love for her family and above all a strong faith. She fought hard against this horrible illness , but she told me she wasn’t afraid to die because she knew where she was going. I grieve for our loss, but I celebrate her legacy, where she is and the pain that can no longer hurt her.
Prayers and Blessings to her precious family

I had so much fun going on what I called “Field Trips” , when we were riding out & traveling on the back roads & in different states & counties. You said I could spot a “ Dollar General” or a Walmart a mile away ( hahaha). I enjoyed taking care of you & our talks about all kind of things. Take your complete & well deserved rest sis. 29. Determined, Detailed, Family Oriented, these are just some of the attributes I use in reference to your wonderful character Georgia . You were a kind & caring sister as well as an outstanding mother. I remember as a child that you took good care of me & I Thank You . As life would have it , we were both diagnosed with Breast Cancer TOGETHER & we went on that journey TOGETHER. We cried together & we had lots of laughs together. I remember that day you came by the house , I looked @ you & you looked @ me & both of us had bald heads & we laughed for hours ( hahaha) it seemed like & that was good, because laughter is good for the soul. Well I know you are in heaven now, enjoying a good cup of coffee & engaged in a good conversation. I know where you are sis & I know I have good memories & I can STILL talk to you. anytime. Jesus my Lord & Savior I thank you for my sister , Georgia🌹🌹🌹🌹

  30. Georgia is without a doubt one of the most kind-hearted people that I have ever met. She was genuine soul, and never met a stranger. I will never forgot the countless conversations that we had; giving me advice on things both professionally and personally. I will miss her smile, her humor and her ability to connect with anyone. To her family, friends and colleagues, I know this is a tough loss and pray that God gives you all comfort and peace knowing that she is with our father, looking down on us always – God bless.

  41. To the Goodwin and Harmon family, To, Charles, we send our deepest condolences, for the passing of your wife, also to her children Thad, Tosha, EJ, and Shaun. Georgia grew up and went to school with my oldest brother ( Stanley Scott) she also was my son Kevin’s aunt (Maurice son). Georgia wanted my son Kevin to have this unique set of fishing rods that belonged to his father Maurice, so he could remember his father legacy, she made sure he got them. That’s Georgia Mae. I am going to miss her deeply especially when her sisters Frankie and Viola and I would take her to Cracker Barrel for breakfast. Frankie, Viola, God is smiling on the two of you for the loving care you gave to your sister during her illness. She loved you both, always remember that, and the happy times you all had.Frankie Jr. you and your wife Sheryl stood in the gap where needed and especially with prayers of encouragement. Also Georgia’s oldest Sister Evelyn who came from New York to care and spent a lot of time with her. Rest on Georgia, for you are at your mansion now, with the Lord.🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽❤️
