  12. Words cannot express how much we love our dear Mrs. Hattie Donald. She is one of those special people who although not blood-related, God put her in our lives. Mrs. Donald has been in both our families all our lives. She had the unique ability to show up when you felt no one would or could be there for you. Even when she was no longer driving! She always kept her promises and obligations. She made it quite a challenge for the rest of us to make excuses for not doing our best! Condolences to her family. Mrs. “Hattie” Donald our sweetheart will long be remembered and loved by the Ruff and Mack Families. Her legacy prevails.

  17. What an “Awesome Woman of God” and Gracious Individual. My life is richer and more complete because of Mrs. Hattie Donald. Her vigor, self determination and zest kept her motivated. She kept it moving by aligning herself with GOD and “Energetic People”. Benedict College Alumni/Fans, Gethsemane Association, First Calvary Baptist Church and Community Involvement remained among her passions.
Commendations to her children for the tremendous love, sacrifices and support given. The Legacy lives on for Generations to Come.💜💛

  19. Mrs. Donald was a very important and loving part of our “village” in that neighborhood off of the Barhamville Road corridor. Our families were close, attended the same church and schools. She, like my mother, was also a very proud graduate of Benedict College and I believe that’s where they met. I always admired her warm and pleasant personality, her stateliness and her regalness. My sincerest condolences to the family and prayers in honor of a lady who lived a very fulfilling and rewarding life.

  24. Thinking of the Donald Children and Yvonne at a time such as this.

As many have stated, Mrs. Hattie Donald had a lovely and oh so sweet personality, no matter where you encountered her; at First Calvary, at a meeting or casually in the community in passing.

I’ve always enjoyed our exchanges as she would usually comment on something related to Miriam or Abram, and later would inquire about Layla after her arrival, now nearly 19 years ago.

She was as pleasant as she was kind and I was always inspired after talking with her.

I’m thinking her children have called her “blessed” many times over for the “fruit of godliness” they witnessed in her during her longevity of life. For on this tedious journey, she must have observed & experienced many eras of changes as history evolved for more than fourscore years.

May all who knew her, and admired her many gifts, continue to revere the many memories of a life well lived for 93 glorious years!

She is now resting in her well deserved home on high with her God, whom she served so faithfully!
