  1. Sending love prayers and Condolences to your family. When seeing your mother out back in the days. She always had that beautiful smile. She was a beautiful lady. Small talk didn’t do much talking. The life she lived spoke for her. She had a Beautiful Home going Service. We lived College Place but we were like family to all of Harlem Heights.

  2. dominion My prayers and condolences go out to my cousins and their families.
I know that you have shed tears after tears for your precious mom and grand mother.
But I also know that — you know — GOD has received Auntie Inez with open arms into HIS heavenly domain. She is safe. She is healed and she is whole again because of what JESUS accomplished on the cross.
I will keep you all in my prayers as you process Auntie Inez’s transition to her new Heavenly residence. She is all settled in to her mansion and enjoying times with relatives and friends who have also crossed-over. She has seen my mom and Aunt Dot. They are all together again. Rejoicing together again.
    Love you. .

  16. Grandma Speaks, was an example of what a child of God looks like. She was dedicated to God, family, and the educational welfare of the many children she mentored, and mothered. She will truly be missed but her loving spirit, and strong determination to make those around her better will live on forever. Love lives forever…

  25. am so glad I was there to help celebrate Mother Inez’s 89th birthday last year in Columbia and we also celebrated our beautiful Speaks-Way-Hammond-Aiken-Sumter Thanksgiving Day Family Reunion last year.
I didn’t make it to the the 90th birthday celebration, but as always, cousin Kevin sent me some beautiful pictures of that wonderful event.
Well, done, Mother Inez! Well done indeed! But also well done to all of my cousins as I’ve already told you earlier that Mother Inez had no doubt in her mind that she was truly loved by all of her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, as well as all the rest of the family members and friends that loved her so very much. We will always remember that beautiful smile of yours, Mother Inez, but then again… All we have to do is look at all of your children, grandchildren and even great grandchildren. They all seem to have inherited that beautiful smile. So thank you for that.❤️ Rest in heavenly peace our beautiful family matriarch and give Joy and all the other the family members gone before us a big hug.
Back in the day, I loved stopping by Cody Street sometimes when I came back home to Columbia, especially if I was just one street over on Mayer Street visiting my grandparents at Way’s grocery store. And just as someone else mentioned Mother Inez was always so warm and welcoming, “Hey, Chris! Come on in!” I loved talking with her and seeing that beautiful smile of hers.

I was blessed enough to call on her as mother Inez I felt so close that to her like she was my second mother in the community ,I knew mother I nez since Elementary School I went to school with Kevin so many people calls him Satch now,but you know my conversations with mother Inez was about me and my grandfather that raised me and about Harlem heights and when I would walk down to their house the first thing she would say come in Yvette I would say yes ma’am she would say Kevin not here but you can talk with me. She was such a beautiful person and always kept that smile on her face.now mother Inez you have done your best now get your rest and tell Joy hi, may God comfort Satch,Danny Alan,Vivian.and Dee Dee
