  6. I met Mrs. Joe in 2003 as a coworker at BlueCross BlueShield SC. She was a mentor and friend. She stayed in touch with me after retiring. I most recently spoke with her when I was preparing to retire. Madison and Bryant cherish the memories and may God strengthen you during this difficult time.

  7. Jo was a quick wit, always wearing a smile that hid her sheepish grin. (It seemed like she had a secret.) She was “good people.” She always had a word to lift your spirit. Her love of life was infectious. Work done here. Rest at Home, Jo

  8. Deepest condolences to your family. Josephine will be truly missed, a beautiful lady with such a sweet spirit and lovely smile. My son Tyler frequently wanted to follow her home from church to spend Sunday afternoon with Bryant, and she never said no. May God give you peace as you adjust to her physical absence.

  12. I feel like I have lost a member of my family. Ms. Jo was the daycare teacher of my son, Marcus, and she took care of him like he truly belonged to him. She saw early on that he was musically inclined and he will be at the piano with her giving her a beat while she was playing. She made sure he played drums at the funeral for the director, Mrs. Smith. As he was only 3 years old, the other church musicians were reluctant to let him play but Mrs. Jo told them to give him a try. She was determined that Marcus was going to play at that service and he did great!!She began to call my mother sister, she always asked about my sisters and nephew, and my entire family is just saddened by her departure. I pray for God’s comfort for the family.

  30. This one hit hard but I know GOD is able. I am going to miss this lady on this side. A big supporter of my village during my youth years. She always love me like I was her daughter. I felt the love and support at every embrace. So my dear heart I know the heavenly choir has gained another SOULFUL alto. Thank you for teaching me to hold my correct notes on the choir.
I’m singing soprano now so I have to hold the notes a little longer. Now when I sing I will always remember you and how we laughed. I love you Jo and will miss you dearly.
Continue to sleep beautiful and know you left a last impression in my heart.
