  4. Grandma,

No words can express how saddened I am about your passing. You were definitely one of a kind and love the Lord like no other. Your presence and kind hearted soul was very much appreciated and loved by so many people around you.

I am so glad you hung in there long enough to meet your great granddaughter for the first time. I remember you would always ask me “Neecole, when are you getting married and going to have grandma some great grand-babies?” I can finally say Grandma that time came and now I can share with my daughter all the memories of how great her great grandparents were.

Take care of yourself and granddad and you both rest in peace with love.

I love you and will miss you very deeply.

  15. To the Gantt family, I send my deepest condolences to you all. First Lady was an amazing woman and of course Bishop was an amazing man of God. We at New Testament Holiness Church of Deliverance will never forget her beautiful voice and playing the organ. You could hear and feel her anointing through it. I love and truly going to miss her. May God be with you all during this time. We at New Testament are here if y’all need anything. Be blessed

  17. In Loving Memory of My Aunt Julia aka First Lady and known by the family as Sista!

Though distance and time kept us apart, I will always cherish the memories of my Aunt. I miss her delicious cooking, those Saturday nights when she pressed our hair with the hot comb to prepare us for Sunday service, and the joy of being in church with Grandma Mu and Uncle Joe. I’ll never forget her playing the organ at New Testament Church, with her children playing in the band alongside her. I love her deeply and will miss her always. May she rest in eternal peace and be reunited in heaven with Uncle Joe.

Me, my husband Terry and our children are sending the sincerest condolences to her children, grands, nieces, nephews and her only remaining sister my Mother Shirley Scott.

    Peace, Love & Blessings🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

  18. Mrs. Gantt,
The few times I have been in your presence, you were always so gracious, mild in demeanor, but a quiet force. There was a strength you carried, and you had wisdom that reflected a life well-lived, one that was spent in the presence of God. And now He has called you to Him, and you can be reunited with your dear love of your life.
Rest well, dear lady, rest well, for to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. The life you lived has us assured that you have been told, “well done” and are enjoying life with the King.

  20. Grandma, there are no words to express regarding how I feel about you leaving us, but I knew this day would come. It is a part of life.

However, “In All Things We Must Give Thanks.” This phrase hits a little different now. So, in this moment, I would like to “Give Thanks” for the wisdom you have given me. I am thankful to God for giving me a grandmother like you. You taught us to be strong in the Lord and you taught us His teachings. Your faith in God was immeasurable and the missionary work you have done in His name while you were here on earth has been documented in His book! I give thanks for Him allowing you to be in my life for as long as you have (I’m still not telling you my age Grandma) and what I have the most gratitude for is having the skill set to take care of you during your last days. Granddaddy sowed the seed of “care and compassion” in me at a young age because he knew it would be greatly needed and it came full circle.

I will miss our laughs, I will miss your jokes, I will miss your sharp, saucy comebacks. I will miss everything about you dearly.

Until we meet again, I will carry your spirit and the wisdom you have given me wherever I go.

    I love you, Grandma.
