  8. Sister “Bonnie”, I thank God for your loving and welcoming spirit. You were one of the angels at New Williams Street. We had some good times, one thing for sure we loved to praise God. I will never forget when you learned my middle name… you were the only person I allowed to know and call me by it. I will miss seeing you here there… rest in peace! “Vi”

  15. So sorry to hear of Laverns passing. Lavern and I grew up together. Her mom Mae was my other mother. Lavern and I played softball together with the Columbia blue soxs. Vern played 3rd base and wow could she hit and throw. We had some awesome times at her grandmother’s house on huger Street. Haven’t seen Vern in over 14 or 15 years. My condolences to her family. Praying for peace and understanding during this difficult time. 🙏

  18. To the Houston/ Foxworth Family: “Earth has No Sorrow that Heaven Cannot Heal.” Laverne and I were classmates from Howard Elementary, Fairwold Jr. High, and BTW High Schools. When we saw each other around Columbia, we always shared about the fun times we had. I passed the house she once lived in on Friday, and thought about her, not knowing she was Resting with our maker and creator. I send heartfelt condolences to her family. I pray you think of the fond memories you had with her, knowing that she is in a Better Place NOW.

  26. To the Foxworth and Houston Families….. please accept my sincere sympathy for the loss of your loved one. Laverne and I were friends for a long time. I was saddened to hear of her passing. Whenever we would see each other, usually in a store, both of us started smiling. In the little time we had to talk, we would try to catch up. I will truly miss Laverne. My prayer for the families is that God will give you peace and comfort during this difficult time.🙏🏾
