  1. Sending love and hugs to the McLemore Family. Mrs. McLemore was a real gem! She was kind and soft-spoken. Her grandson Lorenzo and my son Willis were teammates and classmates. They were at St. Martin’s together when I met her. Beautiful and loving, she will be missed.

  3. Mrs. Mary McLemore lived across the street from my parents for over 45 years and was such a special part of my childhood. When I was a little girl, she would let me sit at her house while I waited for the school bus. It may have seemed like a small thing, but that kindness meant so much and is something I’ve never forgotten. She was always so nice and made you feel welcome. She is truly a woman I will never forget, and I’m grateful for those sweet memories.

  4. Mary and Mac’s daughter Venita and our daughter Torin met in college. We’re so thankful they did because we met Mary McLemore, Mac and their beautiful loving family.
With Mary, you felt like family. She put you at ease and welcomed her children’s friends and families. Mary also knew how important having a voice was and she put in time helping at the polls. Mary raised a loving family. We see her in each one of them. We pray for Mary’s family that they find comfort knowing that she is at peace with God.

  5. Mrs. McLemore dedicated many years to Brownie troop 1143 at St. Martin de Porres. She wanted her girls to experience as much as possible. We went camping at least once a year, and enjoyed cooking and eating Hungarian Hot Pot and s’mores. We visited Charleston, spent two nights aboard the USS Yorktown, and toured other historic sites. If there was a will, Mrs. McLemore made a way. I often hear about women who left Girl Scouting during or after the Brownie level because of boredom or poor leadership. Mrs. McLemore laid a foundation that supported us throughout our young years as Girl Scouts. As we aged, we were able to spend time with the Brownies and encourage them to remain active in Girl Scouts. After graduating from high school, Mrs. McLemore always had time to hug and reminisce. She always expressed her pride in the adults we became.

Venita, Tamika, and Valerie, you have my deepest sympathy. I thank you for sharing your mom with me and the other girls so selflessly.

  25. We celebrate the life of a true “Servant Of God” who has gone home. Mary L. McClemore loved God, Family, St.Luke Church and Laughter. Her face lit up brightly as she smiled or acknowledged others. Mary’s familial love created the visual opportunity to expand “Our Lineage”. Your absence from this life is the Gateway To Glory.
