The Booth family totally embraced my family when we moved to Columbia. Marie was a member of “ The Stars” 😁 A beautiful group of women who wasn’t a stranger to kind acts. Years go by and we all get busy, but the admiration and love never fades. Shawn, unfortunately, I am aware of your pain. I’m praying that God wraps his loving arms around you.

A true Mother & Saint from beginning caring with us as children my mother & father when we 1st started attending Holy Convocation-Columbia MH at the age of 2 years old at 2641 Read St. Never in my wildest dreams I ever thought in 2017 I would be married to Apostle Wynn. St Marie & St Dottie Hall ensured we had snacks & food to eat never allowed us to want for anything even to the day.
I miss the pleasant spirit even caring for me after I flatlined being sent to the morgue in same month 2017 in the hospital until 8 months. Daddy Bailey purposely had me read the hospital menu on phone so he could determine what stage I was in.
St Marie I will miss you, and the neighbors miss and cherish your kindness.
Dearest Shawn, Karen and family, we offer our deepest condolences, sympathy and prayers. I’m sending love across the miles. Ms. Marie was a beautiful and graceful woman, inside and out. Thinking of you all.

My sincere condolences to the family. I left Columbia in the 90’s. Every time I came home, Marie greeted me with a big hug and a smile. She was truly a class act. I remember her serving faithfully with the Young Adult Ushers and working in the cafeteria. She will truly be missed.

Ms smith was such a sweet lady me and husband enjoyed talking to her every time we saw her.
Have been seeing this family from a distance for years. Coming to SC in 2009 as pastor in Greenville, I was bless to get to know them. They accepted my wife and I in such a special way. Very loving family. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family as you journey the last mile with St. Smith.
You were the life of our family—always fun, loving, and full of class. You taught us so much about life and showed us the importance of carrying ourselves with dignity, confidence, and grace.
You lived life in full color, and no one was ever a stranger to you. You had a heart that welcomed everyone, and you were always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. You loved people unconditionally, and they loved you in return.
No matter the circumstances, you remained true to yourself. Your kindness, warmth, and genuine spirit never changed. Your beautiful smile, loving heart, and the joy you brought to every room will never be forgotten.
Thank you for the love, the laughter, the wisdom, and the memories. Your legacy will continue to live on in all of us. You will always hold a special place in our hearts.

To the family of Sis.Smith. What can I can I say about my dear sweet friend? When I first met her and begin to know her i knew I had found my second mom. She was genuine, a gem a true friend. Every time we saw each other her beautiful bright smile would light up the room. Her spirit her personality and her words of wisdom. I will truly miss her but her legacy will always live on. I pray the precious priceless memories will help you to heal as you go forward. My prayers are with you and your family as you go forward.
