Our hearts are filled with sorrow upon hearing the passing of your dear mother Veronica. Tawanna your mother your mother’s kindness and quiet strength touched more hearts than you may ever know. I pray the memories you carry bring comfort and the love she gave continues to guide you through the hardest days. May she rest peacefully in the arms of God, and may your heart be lifted by the strength of your faith. Her spirit lives on, and her love surrounds you always — even in her absence.

  6. Mrs. V., I still can’t believe this is real. My heart is heavy as I try to find the words. God placed you in my life during my time as a student at Benedict College, when Ashley introduced you to me, and you offered me a job at Church’s Chicken on Two Notch Road. What started as a job became a life lesson.

You instilled in me the work ethic, discipline, and values that I still carry with me today. Because of you, I am a better person. Your loving heart, wisdom, and guidance will forever live on through me and through the many lives you touched. I will always be grateful for you, Mrs. V. Your legacy will never be forgotten!

  15. Mrs. V was truly one of the best things that happened to me during my time living in Columbia. She took me under her wing at Church’s and gave me my first opportunity as a manager. She taught me so much, and the work ethic I carry today is a direct reflection of what she instilled in me. Even though that was my very first job, she never stopped believing in me.

She always stayed in touch, checking in on me, and whenever she had the chance, she made sure I knew how proud she was. She was like a mother to me, and I will forever be grateful for her presence in my life and for allowing me to be a part of hers. I will cherish every moment we shared and all the memories and blessings she poured into my life.

Mrs. V was a true light. Her smile and her voice could brighten any room she walked into. I love you, Mrs. V, always and forever.

My love and prayers go out to her family during this difficult time. I know how much you all meant to her. I will continue to cover you in prayer, trusting that God will provide comfort and peace now and in the days ahead.
