  6. I will be praying for the family and friends of our dearly departed sister, Veronica. I met Veronica as a teacher at W. A. Perry Middle School and our paths crossed again when I became a member of “For Women Only”. Veronica was also my soror and exemplified what it meant to be a classy and honorable woman. She will be sorely missed. I will be praying for strength and comfort for Naomi, the rest of the family, and all who came to know her, during this season of bereavement.

  10. To Veronica’s family, especially her sister who she persuaded to come out for golf training at the Clyburn Center with ladies from FNBC and Ridgewood Ladies Golf Club, my condolences upon learning that she had transitioned. Veronica was always a quiet breath of fresh air at our gatherings on Mondays and Tuesdays for golf instruction. I would kidd her about needing to show “Violence” when she would swing with her driver or woods. I told that, ” As easy as she was swinging, if she would hit me in the eye with her club, she wouldn’t knock a tear drop out”. That made her hold her head back and laugh as loud as she could with her quiet way. She showed me how to teach/train ladies without coming out and verbally explaining how to do it. I am happy for her because we all serve the only True Living GOD and nothing, not even death, can separate us from HIS love.

My wife and I want to extend our deepest condolences to you during this difficult time. While we never had the privilege of meeting your beloved mother, we know that a mother’s love is a gift beyond measure—a light that continues to shine even after she has gone home to be with the Lord.
We are praying that God’s comfort surrounds you, His peace steadies you, and His love carries you through. May He strengthen your hearts and remind you that though grief is heavy, His grace is greater.
Please know that we are here for you, and we are lifting you and your family in prayer. May the cherished memories of your mother bring you solace in the days ahead.

  19. To the Ramseur & Woodson families, I’m expressing my condolences to all of you for one who was such a beautiful
    & lovely personality.

I did not know Veronica early on, but her name was constantly mentioned on many occasions as my students who attended W A Perry, would say that I reminded them of their Art teachetr at WA Perry.
After meeting her, as our paths finally crossed , I realized that I grew up knowing of the Woodsons whose house was on Manning Ave., but faced my street (Tree St.) where I grew up.
Later, I learned that my Dad knew hers as he was called Dad Woodson.
    Then, beyond that, her brother
Dr. Anhony Woodson was my college classmate & her younger sister & Judge was a student at A C Flora during my tenure there. So I was familiar with the Woodson family before Veronica & I became friends.

Veronica was indeed a lady of dignity and quality and well thought of by all who knew her.
Actually one of her students , that I taught at CAJ mentioned that one of his artistic renderings was displayed in the hall at W A Perry by Mrs. Solomon.

Not only was Veronica Woodson Ramseur an excellent Art teacher, but was one so many of her students were impacted by as they developed their talents artistically, and will now, honor her memory!

May she now rest from her labor in peace and power as her eternity awaits her with a loving Savior .

  49. My Dearest Sister in Christ Naomi….I have great memories of us living on Manning Avenue and attending Blessed Martin DePorres school. Father Beaver and Father Carl and Sister Albertine and Sister Bernadette just to name a few shaped our families. Mother Woodson, Mother Annie Smith, Mother Dial, Mother Robinson and my mom Mother Harrison made sure we were always respectful and served the Lord. Mass before Class and those Friday Stations of the Cross, Confession and Choir practice just to name a few memories. Also I shouldn’t forget standing in the corner when we were naughty….Also those black and white shoes and uniforms made us obey. Lord please give the Woodson and St Martin DePorres family your blessings 🙏 She is now our Guardian 😇
