  1. Aunt Daisy,
I missed your birthday celebration but I made sure to visit that Monday. We talked about the kids and what I was cooking for Thanksgiving. I had to tell you how I was making the dressing because you wanted to make sure I remembered how you taught me. I do remember a lot of things you taught me. I will forever cherish the talks we had and how you chastised me when I was wrong and that was a lot in my younger years. You always reassured me that your love was genuine. Thank you so much for loving me through my good, bad and even my ugly. Get your rest sweet lady. I love you!

  2. Mrs. Daisy Davis, I have heard about her coming up as a middle schooler because her son, Melvin, was my Dad’s ( Jimmie Lee Howell,Sr.), friend. I didn’t actually meet her until I was in my late teens and I was like ‘this is a sweet nice and kind lady ‘. She would often call just to check in on us and to see how we were doing after Mom passed. I visited her a few times, but it was mostly phone calls. She had given me leads on getting Healthcare Coverage, etc when I was looking for help with my shoulder injury.
Prayers and Condolences to the Davis Family and her friends and the community.
I have only known 2 Daisy’s in my life, one was my grandmother, Daisy F. Howell and Ms. Daisy Davis.
The world needs more women (people),like them.

  5. Auntie Daisy,
You were the last surviving sibling of my mother Flossie. You leave us with a lifetime of memories and the whole family will thank god everyday for the precious time he allowed us to share with you. I will truly miss your wisdom and phenomenal cooking.

  7. I have known Daisy and the Davis family all of my life. She and my Mom were best friends for years and she was like family. She was a Christian woman and faithful church member and goer up until her illness. I know this because over the years that is where I saw her most often. Rest in peace Ms. Daisy Davis as you have earned your crown. George Butch Hampton and family.
She was one of the kindest and sweetest
