  8. Dear Scott family,
There is a lonsomeness after the death of one’s mother, but we want y’all to know that your neighbors (Mouzon family and the Tyler) family are thinking about you all and sympathizing with y’all in this time of your great loss.

We will never forget the friendliness and kindness your mother extended to me and my siblings. She was loved by all who knew her.

  12. To the Scott family–you all have my deepest sympathy and condolences.

I, too, as others have mentioned, remember Mrs. Scott as a sweet, gentle person. Her daughter, Mabel and I, have been friends since we were 12 years old in the 7th grade. I would visit them on Ames Rd., and was always treated as if I were one of her daughters.

Keeping all of you in my thoughts and prayers. You have a real guardian angel!!

  15. Gracie was a remarkable woman who touched our lives in ways that will always stay with us. During the summers, she helped my mother by watching over me and my sister, and she did so with a quiet strength and grace that spoke volumes about her character. Even while caring for others, she carried herself with independence and dignity, always able to take care of herself while still giving so much to those around her.

She was kind, beautiful, and truly a blessing to be around. Her presence brought warmth, comfort, and a sense of peace that made every moment spent with her feel special. I will always cherish the memories of visiting her home—the feeling of being welcomed, cared for, and part of something bigger than myself.

Some of my fondest memories are the simple ones, like going with her to the Piggy Wiggly to shop.Gracie helped shape those times into something meaningful, and they remain a lasting reminder of the joy she brought into our lives.

She will always be remembered with love, gratitude, and deep appreciation for the beautiful life she lived and the kindness she shared so freely.

  25. Gracie, I love you so much. I wish I could be there, but I’m with you in spirit.

My Gemini girl… I’m so grateful for all the memories we shared. Thank you for always welcoming me and my brother during the summers, for letting us come over and spend time with our cousins, and for always keeping us safe. Your home was always full of love, warmth, and kindness.

I’ll never forget the little things—the ice pops from the freezer, running around outside, running around the house, eating your delicious homemade breakfast, trying corn dogs for the first time lol I’m from NY corn dogs weren’t our thing lol. I still remember that waterbed, and that beautiful bathroom was my favorite part of your house. Those memories will always stay with me.

Thank you for being the loving, kind, and genuine person you were to everyone around you. You truly lived a full life, and you made a lasting impact on all of us.

I’m going to miss you so much, Cousin Gracie.
Rest peacefully. I love you always. ❤️
