  12. To Joyce’s, “Niecy” brother Arnold, her children, grands and extended family members and friends, I send sincere Condolences and Prayers to each of you. “Niecy” was my childhood friend from the Waverly community, until my family moved away. I have fond memories of our time together, which I will for ever cherish, she was a joy to be around. I last saw her in spring of 2010, while I was on a visit from Germany and she gave me her # to call her, but I lost the # and never got to speak with her again.πŸ˜” I feel guilty and have much regret bc of it today. To know “Niecy”, was to love her, bc after all of those years of not seeing her, when I did, she remained the same humbled person she had always been. Unfortunately I won’t be able to attend the services, due to 2 Dr’s appts, which can’t be rescheduled. However, I pray the family will be comforted during your bereavement and know that God is with you through it all and will be there for you when this initial process is over, for that’s when the grieving really begins and you will need “Him” the most!! Prayers to the Family of Joyce “Niecy’ Baskett!! Arnold I’m sorry I can’t be there for you, as you were there for me during the death of my brother, Donald/Donnell.πŸ™πŸΏπŸ™πŸΏ

  13. To Arnold and the Baskett Family,
I am deeply saddened to hear of the passing of “Niecy,” a neighborhood “home girl” and classmate at A. C. Flora High School. Even though life took us in different directions, and we hadn’t seen each other in many years, I have always cherished the memories from those earlier days. Please know that my heart is with you and your family during this difficult time, and I hope you find comfort in the love and support of those who knew and cared for her.

  17. Joyce and Arnold and I grew up in the Waverley community together, our moms were good friends. We ran into each other again much later in life, I was so happy to see her again. Joyce was still a sweet, caring person, like always, always encouraging me .. we are sad, yes, but heaven has regained an angel! May God Be with her family at this precious time.
