Tonna was a great girlfriend during our college years. Her laugh and the way she cared was always so genuine. She always kept it real and wouldn’t hold back whether it was to give you love or tell you the truth. I will cherish our memories together. Sending condolences to the family. She will be missed.

I met Tonna while attending VSU, and we became friends and Sista when we joined Sista 2 Sista. As I type these words, I am still in disbelief. She will be missed and surely not forgotten. I just heard the news of Tonna’s passing today. I’m shocked. We met at Virginia State and became sisters through our non-greek sorority. I wish she was being laid to rest closer but I know South Carolina was her new home. My sincerest condolences and prayers to her family and all of us who knew and loved her. She is gone too soon and will sincerely be missed.
