My family and I are sorry for the loss of Mrs. Murphy. We will certainly miss seeing her beautiful smile and the beautiful manner in which she carried herself.

My heartfelt condolences to the Quattlebaum and Murphy families. May the Creator strengthen and comfort you during this most difficult time. Ms. Vera was in a class of her own, always walking with grace and dignity. She was admired by so many of us as we grew up watching her be the Queen she was to us. Adrienne, I’m writing this with deep sadness and heartache over the passing of your mom! A few years ago, I had the privilege and pleasure of meeting Mom Vera and our conversation was like talking to my own mother. She was incredibly kind, generous, and welcoming. You’re truly blessed to have such a wonderful and loving mother. My sincerest condolences during this difficult time.

We came to know Vera through Aunt Betty Burroughs and always enjoyed seeing her at holiday and family gatherings throughout the year. Her presence brought warmth to those occasions, and those memories will stay with us.

AR: I am so sorry to hear of your Mom’s passing. She will continue to guide and protect you, as she has always done. I know this is a very painful and difficult time, for you and your family, but it will get better. She was beautiful and ‘red’ was definitely her color.
