  3. What a beautiful, gentle woman. Her kindness and love touched so many. Sam and I are heartbroken. We will truly miss her. Her smile is forever ingrained in our minds and our hearts. When she greeted us, she always made us feel like royalty, even though we felt she was the queen jewel. She embodied grace, strength, and genuine faith. May God’s peace, strength, and love sustain you during this difficult time. May the memories of her love for you bring you comfort.

She was a sweet, sweet individual who never failed to stop at my seat each Sunday, along with her daughter, to give me a warm greeting. She will be sorely missed but to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Sleep on and take your deserved rest.

  26. Dear family of Ms Verleen
    Strong:

I think that Deaconess Annie Snell captured the essence of who Ms. Verleen Strong was and what she meant to all who knew her

I tried to reflect on when I first met her as a part of our church family. It was years ago and she was always that, oh so kind, sweet and lovely lady whose trademark was a warm hug as she greeted you that said you were special to her.

I know I loved her dearly, but never thought about how much & why I loved her so until now…as she was genuine!

She became my dear friend over the years & each time our paths crossed, I knew I was in for “that hug” that I joyfully anticipated with open arms.

She was special to me, and I know I was special to her as it was in the atmosphere.

Finally…We will miss her now our hearts are sore, as time goes by we will miss her more!

Your loving smile, your gentle face…No one can fill your vacant place.

So nobly thy course is run, splendor is round it. Bravely the fight is won. Victory Crowned it!

Goodnight my lovely, goodnight my friend ….. Verleen Strong!

I will see you in the morning.

  28. We extend our deepest and heartfelt condolences to the family of the late Verleen Strong. She radiated a warmth and kindness that touched everyone around her. Each Sunday at church, her loving embrace was a true comfort, and she never failed to make us feel welcome and cared for. Coming home from Christmas vacation to find a card from her was yet another reminder of her thoughtfulness and the special way she reached out to others. Verleen was not only a remarkable soul but also an extraordinary cook—her sweet potato pie was truly legendary, a testament to the love she poured into everything she did. Your mother’s absence will be deeply felt by all who knew and cherished her, and her gentle spirit will remain in our hearts forever.
