A precious soul that never met a stranger. Mr. Thompson was an awesome person to work along side of at SCDC. He was always willing to teach others what he knew an encouraged people to advance. I know we will see one another on the other side. May your loved ones receive the peace of God in this season of their lives. Sleep well.
To Mr. Joe Thompson family a father/brother figure to my husband and I, he will truly be missed. We met(Silver Fox) as my husband would call him. We met over 38 years ago and he has shown us nothing but love, support and shared his God good given wisdom. I remember when he shared with me about his dedication of his life and works to Christ with such Joy. Sleep on my father/brother in Christ take your rest I’ll see you in a great getting up morning. I’m so sorry to hear about the loss of your dear love one. My heart goes out to each and every one of you. I pray God continue to give you strength doing your time of sorrow.
My heart and prayers go out to the Thompson family. I had the pleasure of working with Mr. Thompson at the SC Dept. Of Corrections and we remained in periodic contact after I left. He was full of life, carried out of duties as a true professional, and was well liked. I visited with him a few weeks ago and though he did not seem cognizant of my presence, I grateful I got to seem him before he passed. Rest in peace my brother.
