  1. The Zion Pilgrim Baptist Church extends its sincere condolences to the Goodwin family. Sis. Goodwin was a true believer in our Lord Jesus Christ and she was a very faithful member of our church. We will truly miss seeing her on earth; however, The Word of God reminds us in 1st Thessalonians 4:13-14 “not to be ignorant concerning those who are asleep, that we sorrow not as others who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with Him.” Therefore, we believe by faith that Sis. Goodwin is now positioned in that great eternal rest that only God can provide. May she forever rest in peace. Our prayers for comfort and strength will forever be lifted up for the Goodwin family. Be blessed in the Lord.

  3. Lee took care of me when I was a young child. I trusted her as much as I trusted my own mother. I have such fond memories of her walking me home from school, playing cards – or just talking. Even though she had plenty of other things to do, she always found time for me. I will never forget her warm smile, her calm and caring ways, her patience (she needed a lot with me!) and her quiet little laugh. She was a very sweet, special lady and I will never forget her. Rest in peace, Lee. Wishing God’s love and peace to her family!

  14. I can say without a doubt Eartha Lee has earned her wings of gold. I met her when I was only 24 years old. That’s when I felt home AWAY from home. Rest peaceful my lovely dearest friend. I’ll cherish all the good times we’ve encountered. Forever you’ll be in my heart. To the family, may our Lord give you the strength in order to bear the unbearable. In Jesus name, Amen
